If you’ve ever dreamed of having a loving, loyal companion, adopting a Samoyed could be the perfect choice. These beautiful, fluffy dogs are known for their friendly and gentle personalities, and they make fantastic pets for the right families. If you're in Northern Utah, there's a wonderful organization that is making a huge impact—Y Not Save A Sam Rescue. This rescue organization is working tirelessly to save Samoyeds, many of whom have been surrendered or abandoned, and they need all the help they can get.
I recently had the pleasure of speaking with someone from Y Not Save A Sam Rescue, and I have to say, I was so impressed by the passion and care they have for these incredible dogs. The woman I spoke with was kind, knowledgeable, and immediately helpful. After our conversation, she reached out to me with a Samoyed in need of a home. Without hesitation, I made my way to the Brigham Animal Shelter to meet him, and I’m so glad I did.
When I met this handsome Samoyed, I was struck by how kind and gentle he was. He had obviously been well-loved and trained, and it was clear that he had so much potential to bring joy to any family. A few days later, we got the ball rolling. He received his shots, his microchip was implanted, and we officially brought him home, where he was welcomed by his Samoyed foster sister.
He’s a true joy to have around. This sweet boy loves going on walks and hikes—his absolute favorite thing in the world. Whether it’s a simple stroll or a more adventurous hike, he’s always excited to hit the trail. He’s incredibly well-behaved, walking beautifully on a leash, though it’s not even necessary most of the time. He's also crate trained, cot trained, and even loves car rides. His easygoing nature means he’s fantastic in public spaces—he doesn't mind people as long as they give him space. He is also great with cats, even curling up with them in a cozy spot.
This Samoyed is looking for a forever home with older, well-trained dogs who can be companions for him. He would thrive in an environment where he gets plenty of love, attention, and of course, beautiful hikes. He is gentle, affectionate, and ready to make any family’s home even brighter.
Y Not Save A Sam Rescue has so many Samoyeds just like him waiting for their chance at a better life. They rely on donations, foster homes, and adoption applications to continue their life-saving work. If you’re in a position to help, there are so many ways you can make a difference:
Adopt: Open your heart and home to a Samoyed who needs you.
Foster: If adoption isn't possible, fostering is a great way to help. Giving a dog a temporary home while they wait for their forever family is incredibly rewarding.
Donate: Even if you're unable to adopt or foster, you can still make a difference by donating to the rescue. Your contribution helps provide medical care, food, and shelter for these beautiful dogs.
If you're interested in helping or learning more, I encourage you to contact Y Not Save A Sam Rescue. They are doing incredible work, and they can always use an extra hand. Whether you’re adopting, fostering, or donating, you’ll be making a life-changing impact on a Samoyed who deserves a second chance.
Together, we can help save these sweet dogs and give them the loving homes they’ve been waiting for. Visit Y Not Save A Sam Rescue today and find out how you can get involved!
If you would like to adopt this beautiful boy reach out to the rescue.
